Match Report: Remarkable VCFF claim valuable point away at Real Sociedad (2-2)

Valencia CF Femenino had a strong start to the game, so much so, that they rattled the crossbar through an onrushing Candela drive. The hosts responded immediately at the other end as Franssi made it 1-0 to the hosts, only a minute later.
The early goings saw franticly open end-to-end passage of play with both looking to dominate. The Basques probing down the channels and Valencia CF Femenino down the middle
Bea Beltrán restored parity with a wonder strike tucking in off the right lashing in a powerful right-footed shot inside the left-hand post past A. Nanclares outside the penalty arc on 21 minutes.
The equaliser helped the Valencianistas to settle in the game, stick to their game plan with quick transitions over the halfway line but with the hosts being really direct and dangerous in the final third.
Enith made a vital stop palming Itxaso’s drive onto the crossbar and minutes later, Candela’s shot went narrowly off target. The first half finished locked together at 1-1 with all to play for in the second half.
Valencia CF Femenino picked up where they left off as Flor Bonsegundo came tantalisingly close to making it 1-2 but his effort crept past the right-hand post on 48 minutes while the hosts pegged VCFF back inside their own box with a series of corner kicks with both sides looking for the winner.
Bea Beltrán grabbed her brace from twelve yards out after a foul on Jansen, following a candela assist. Valencia CF Feminino turned the game on its head on the hour mark with an offsensive and daring play.
Valencia CF Femenino grew in confidence almost adding a third through an Alejandra thumping strike but A. Nanclares kept it out getting a strong hand to it on 74 minutes. Minutes later, Nahikari made it 2-2 for the hosts after converting a spot-kick after being on the receiving end of a contentious foul inside the box.
The final 10 minutes saw a box-to-box spell but both sets of backlines and goalkeepers came out on top. The remainder of the game played out with no further incident and Valencia CF Femenino claimed a valuable draw giving a remarkable showing.
